Team Pepere  I was very honored and humbled at the same time to be able to attend a brunch for the Jimmy Fund Walk, “going the extra mile”.  My daughter, Jenny, and her in laws have Team Pepere; they were able to raise over $30,000.00 last year.  They have a hefty goal this year of $50,000.00.  It is amazing what some people have to endure during the treatment of Cancer.  The featured speaker was a young mom who son had had cancer.  He went through Chemo and radiation only to have it come back again.  Than a bone marrow replacement; only to loose the battle.  She was so positive, it brought me to tears, and however, because of him she was able to go down another path with her life and is now an interrupter for Spanish speaking people with the medical personal.   Story by Mary Lefebvre

Donation to Grahamtastic

Pioneers just donated 11 used laptops and a brand new iPod Mini to Grahamtastic. Grahamtastic is a non-profit organization that refurbishes and supplies children who are unable to attend school due to serious illness with technology that allows them to remotely access their classroom and keep up with their school work. Thank you for supporting Pioneers. We are able to make these contributions because you support us with your dues and purchases at our various fundraisers! Pictured are: Julie Scala, Secretary and Education Chair for Pioneers-Portland Council, Marcel Gagnon of Grahamtastic and Mary Lefebvre, Chapter President of Jasper N. Keller Pioneers as Grahamtastic is presented with our donation.
